Metallized Paper vs. Metallized Polyester
Wynalda Litho has pioneered the use of holographic metallized paper to replace holographic metallized polyester (plastic) in the entertainment industry.
Metallized paper is basically paper that is directly metallized. It is easily separated from the paper fibers during the recycling process. The more commonly used metallized polyester is a plastic coating that is laminated to paper and is harder to recycle, is not biodegradable and consumes a non-renewable resource.
Notable projects done on Metallized Paper include the Rolling Stone Magazines Fortieth Anniversary Issue and Disney’s Cars.
